Attack on Reinhard Heydrich
The attack on Reinhard Heydrich, carried out on May 27, 1942 by the Anthropoid paratroopers with the support of other paratroop groups and the home resistance, was one of the most important combat actions in the occupied territories during World War II. One of the participants in the assassination, Jan Kubiš, served as a non-commissioned officer in the Czechoslovak Army in the Opava region in the 1930s.
